Who is your software intended for?
Our software solution is intended to be used by anyone that requires information on buildings’ health, performance, and energy efficiency and wants clear, actionable information on ways they can be improved.
Because our platform is not permanent and does not require installation, it is ideal for organizations that need to collect data at multiple locations, or for ongoing measurement and verification purposes, including:

Where is ioAirFlow located?
ioAirFlow’s corporate office is located in Winnipeg, Manitoba. We also have a location in Vancouver, British Columbia. We are able to ship our hardware kits anywhere across North America, and any required training and assistance is completed online.
What kind of buildings can be tested using your software?
Our software can be used on any type of commercial building. Entire buildings or sections of buildings can be tested.

Does your platform measure energy loads?
At this point, we are not measuring energy load consumption. Our solution enables customers to collect high-quality data on environmental conditions and indoor air quality, and automate the associated analysis and report generation.

Does the software require download and installation?
Once your account has been created by an ioAirFlow account manager, the web-based platform requires no additional software to download, and can be accessed through a secure cloud-based connection.
How can I use my ioAirFlow data?
ioAirFlow data can be incorporated into full energy audit reports or can be offered as a quick diagnostic tool to test general building health and performance. Our software is also able to generate reports that can easily be shared with stakeholders like customers, tenants, and staff.
What hardware is included in the licensing fee?
As part of the licensing fee, you will receive one base station and twenty sensors - capable of measuring a variety of environmental conditions.
What do your sensors measure?
Our sensors currently measure temperature, relative humidity, air pressure, CO2 and TVOCs. Our approach to analysis allows us to bring new sensors online rapidly to meet our customers needs. We are looking into expanding our sensor capacity to measure particulates, CO, acoustics, and luminosity.
What type of connection do your sensors require?
We use wireless, low power wide area network (LPWAN) sensors and a gateway that does no require any type of internet connection. Sensors can operate for over 100 days on a single charge, while the base station requires a wired power source (i.e. a wall plug). Once the test is complete, the collected data is uploaded and stored securely on our cloud server.
How long do sensors need to be placed at a location?
To collect enough data to provide a thorough analysis of a building, the time required to have sensors on site is at least seven days. The longer the time period tested, the more data will be available. However, we have found seven days to be sufficient to identify most problems to date.
How accurate is the sensor data?
The sensors are accurate to ±2°C within a -20°C to +40°C operating range for air temperature. Relative humidity is accurate to ±5% within a 0 to 100% RH operating range. Air pressure is accurate to ±0.5 kPa within a 26 kPa to 126 kPa operating range. TVOC equivalents are measurable within a range of 125 ppb to 600 ppb, while CO2 equivalents are measurable within a 240 ppm to 2000 ppm operating range.
How do I order more sensors?
If you would like more sensors than the ones provided with your licensing agreement, talk to your account manager.
Are there any privacy or security risks?
We've taken every precaution to ensure the safety of our clients' confidential information. We use wireless, low power wide area network (LPWAN) sensors and a gateway that does not require any type of internet connection, so there is no IT security risk on site.
The sensors are not fitted with any cameras or microphones and thanks to the LPWAN protocol, they only transmit bytes of non-identifying data, which is anonymized before being uploaded and stored securely on our cloud server.
